This Privacy Policy explains how BCS PreTest: Compete and Win ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1Information we collect
The App is designed to work with as little personal information as possible. Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Account information — such as a display name or email address, only if you choose to sign in (for example, to appear on a leaderboard).
- Quiz activity — the pretests you attempt, your scores, and completion times, used to show your results and ranking.
- Device and usage data — general information such as device type, operating system version, and app crash logs, used to keep the App stable.
- Advertising identifiers — the App uses Google AdMob to show ads, which may use your device's advertising ID and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, as described in Section 3.
The App is completely free to use, does not charge any fee, and does not collect any payment or financial information. We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers or precise location.
2How we use it
Information collected is used to:
- Operate core features, such as scoring pretests and showing leaderboards.
- Maintain and improve the App's performance and stability.
- Understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which subjects are most practiced.
- Display advertising through Google AdMob and measure ad performance.
3Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers that help us run the App, such as hosting or analytics providers, bound to use data only to provide their service to us.
- Google AdMob, which serves ads within the App and may also collect data as described in Google's Partner Sites policy. AdMob may use your advertising ID to show more relevant ads and measure ad performance.
- Other analytics or crash-reporting partners, if added to the App in the future, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Legal authorities, if required to comply with a legal obligation or to protect the rights and safety of users.
4Data storage & security
Any information collected is stored using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5Account & data deletion
You can delete your account and associated data directly from within the App at any time. Here's how:
Open the App and go to your Profile, then tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
In the confirmation screen, tap Delete Account again to permanently confirm.
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, scores, achievements, and leaderboard history, and this action cannot be undone. If you'd rather request deletion without using the App, email us at bcspretest.com@gmail.com from your registered email address and we will delete your account and associated data within a reasonable time.
6Children's privacy
The App is intended for BCS exam aspirants, generally adults preparing for a civil service exam. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7Your choices
You can use most features of the App without creating an account. Where an account exists, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us using the details below, or by using the in-app deletion steps above.
8Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
